A lovely hand drawn architectural Manchester print illustrating the history of Manchester's cotton mills and factories. This print is a perfect birthday or wedding gift, highlighting the hidden history of Manchester. Each brick has been individually hand drawn, painstakingly marking every crack in the window to capture a building frozen in time.
I have drawn in pencil on industrial waste metal. I loved the scratches, marks and colour matching charts on the metal, all giving an insight into it’s previous life. Using graphite pencil highlighted these marks instead of concealing them , creating a decorative feature to the piece, whilst reinforcing my inspiration from the industrial revolution. This discarded piece of metal has now been reused with an exciting and new purpose.
Printing from the original piece of metal, you will receive a black and white giclee print on A4 paper and mounted. It is important to me that my work has little or no impact on the environment whilst still creating an exceptionally high print standard. Therefore, I have chosen to print on 300gsm Cotton Rag fine art paper, made from scrap cotton t-shirts and off cuts.

Eco-friendly art created by reusing industrial waste metal for the canvas of my work. This piece is called ‘Wildest Times’ inspired by the Manchester music scene. Using acrylic, I have hand painted on the waste metal remnants of the old Hacienda FAC 51 and Fcatory Records posters peeling off the wall. Eah brick and poster design individually researched and carefully painted to highlight Manchester’s music history. This discarded piece of metal has now been reused with an exciting and new purpose

Eco-friendly art reusing industrial waste metal for the canvas of my work. This piece is called ‘Free Spirit’ harking back to Manchester’s historic music scene of Factory Records and Hacienda.

Printing from the original piece of metal, I have blurred the image to create a nightclub atmosphere. Finally I chose a yellow Hacienda tint to the finished print.
