The Fold Clock was a continuation of my design from The Fold Side Table. Originally the idea was created from me playing with a sheet of paper torn from my sketchbook and folding it to create various shapes and forms. I thought the simple symmetry of the piece worked well as a clock creating a modern, clean look. When I was folding the paper I liked the torn holes from the sketchbook. Not only could this create a decorative element to the clock but an ideal solution for hanging the clock to the wall. Alternatively due to how the piece is cleverly folded the clock can be freestanding on any table or desk. I manufactured the final piece in steel to resemble the visual lightness of paper with the strength of steel.
